As a born and raised New Yorker, Ariella Mandel created Kitchen & Kitten as a love letter to her childhood self — romantically staring into brownstones to get a glimpse at their chandeliers and moulding, constantly collecting treasures on the streets and in the thrift shops around the city, and longing to live like the main character in movie, amongst extravagant decor and a bit of vintage flair. Out of this lust for old world beauty and color, something that is being lost in NYC, Ariella designed her Brooklyn townhouse to be space for artists and creatives to make something winsome.
