A Townhouse in Flatbush, Brooklyn
KITCHEN & KITTEN
Welcome to a classic 1910 Brooklyn townhouse. A two floor townhome that totals about 2000 square feet, plus an 1000 square foot porch and garden. The house has original details including bay windows on each side, large arches in between rooms, and beautiful wood floorboards. The decor is a colorful mix of classic, English cottage, and farmhouse design and the house contains eclectic furniture and art.
Large Country Style Kitchen
A spacious kitchen and dining room with natural wood tones with a gorgeous 7 foot long farmhouse table. There is a 5 foot long wood kitchen island, and two beautiful country style hutches, plus a 1920s server. There is also a porcelain farmhouse double basin sink and a rustic feature wall with half board & batten and half aesthetically unfinished wall. There are 8ft tall bay windows that look to the garden and a door original to the house which leads to the back porch.
Art & Book Filled Living Room
The living room is at the center of the house, surrounded by original arches on 3 sides. Each arch is decorated with white curtains. There is a vintage oriental wool rug on the floor with classic burgundy and black motifs. And of course plenty of home-y props to use around the space.
Parlor Level Bedroom
A romantic queen size bed in the center of the room, with 8ft tall bay windows. The furnishings are minimal, with two matching classic oak wood dressers and a 60s pink floral couch by the windows. Hollywood regency era floral wall chandelier adds a touch of drama. Can be redressed as a traditional parlor living room by removing the bed.
Private Porch and Garden
The porch is covered in a clear corrugated roof so it is both protected from the elements but light and bright during the day. Grape vines grow over the clear roof, up the back wall of the house, and down the wood fence on both sides of the garden. The garden has an open lawn space in the center, and planted on the sides are perennial flowers and bushes that bloom in the spring and summer as well as a vegetable garden bed.
Versatile Multipurpose Room
Head downstairs to a large multipurpose room on the garden level. With an original 60s credenza, 70s funky sectional couch, and the cast can get dressed here and the crew can hang out here in between takes. There is lots of open space for storing extra items when not in use and craft services.
And so many more spaces!
Many bonus rooms for creation and inspiration! A dreamy dressing room, a groovy music studio with vintage quilted walls, and a cozy guest bedroom.
